Why Attend?

We've got a thousand reasons why, but click here to see the "top" reasons you should attend this year's conference.

Founder's Welcome

Dennis Kennedy, Founder, Texas Diversity Conference

Greetings,

It is my privilege to welcome you to the Inaugural Arkansas Diversity & Leadership Conference. This year's theme is "Creating New Opportunities for Excellence and Profit within Your Community. As the Arkansas area continues to experience demographic changes, along with these changes come opportunities: opportunities for corporations to expand their market share; opportunities for greater diversity of thought; opportunities for greater innovation; opportunities for organizations to recruit from a more diverse pool of candidates; opportunities to examine your corporate culture to ensure that your workplace is a place of inclusion; opportunities for organizations to become Community Champions for Diversity & Inclusion; and, the opportunity for everyone to learn how to value & respect differences.

People across the country tell me that the benefits of attendance at our Diversity and Leadership Conferences fall into three different categories:

  • First, the conference is about professional development. The list of excellent speakers and the various sessions on diversity and leadership provide tremendous insight along with a local perspective. The opportunity to network with other dedicated professionals is unparalleled.
  • Second, the conference is about community. The conference gives attendees a forum to have dialogue on very important topics that affect each and everyone one of us every day. Open dialogue is essential for progress.
  • Third, the conference is all about the future. As each day passes, the challenges and opportunities surrounding diversity and inclusion continue to expand. Companies and organizations that do not learn how to successfully leverage & manage diversity will find it increasingly challenging to remain competitive.

I want to thank our sponsors and partners for their financial support. Without their support, there would be no Arkansas Diversity & Leadership Conference. Please take note of our sponsors and support them when possible. Additionally, I want to say "Thank You" to our speakers who have made the commitment to be here to make sure that the Conference is a success. Many have taken time away from important tasks and traveled some distance in order to participate. I greatly appreciate their support. Finally, I would like to thank the organizers of the conference for a job well done.

Sincerely,

Dennis Kennedy
